The Xcerts support Fu Manchu and Biffy Clyro

Following the successful Rock Sound Exposure tour The Xcerts have been added to Fu Manchu’s European tour which kicked off in Paris and runs to March 20th in Prague. More details here

And if that isn’t exciting enough, news broke this morning that the Xcerts will be supporting the mighty Biffy Clyro at the Royal Albert Hall for the Teenage Cancer Trust show on March 23rd. How good is that!

The Xcerts live shows

Following the success of the Fipster group-buy deal for The Xcerts it was great to go to meet up with the band at a couple of shows this week in Birmingham and London. The shows were part of the Rock Sound Exposure tour and the Xcerts were sharing the bill with Dinosaur Pile-Up and Japanese Voyeurs.

Both shows were well attended and the atmosphere at the London show at the Relentless Garage was especially electric. I have seen the Xcerts many times but this was the best so far. The stand out songs were ‘Distant Memory’ and the amazing ‘Hurt With Me’, which ended the short but powerful set.

I was also impressed with Japanese Voyeurs and Dinosaur Pile-Up and recommend you check them out at the earliest opportunity.

The Xcerts follow up the Rock Sound Exposure shows with their own headline tour in April and I for one can’t wait.

アメリカで大成功したグルーポン系と同様の共同購入サイトですが、利用者近隣地域のレストランやサービスではなく、特定の音楽バンドやアーテｲストのファンむけの商品を売り出します。
原則は大衆ソーシング。つまり多くの人が集まって、モノやサービスを一緒に買おうと決めれば、破格の値段でゲットできるという原理です。ミュージックファン対象なので、同様の原理で限定版商品も売り出せます。フィップスターの商品はバラエテイー豊富。Tシャツ、アルバム、コンサートツアー関連グッズ 、イベントのチケット、音楽ダウンロード、特別ヴァージョン、限定版を含む再生版等様々。 ファンの口コミで幅広く伝播させるためにソーシャルメデｲア戦略も取り入れる意向。
過去、日本とアジアでHMVの事業を展開したポール デゼルスキー氏とピート　チャップマン氏がIT業界のスペシャリスト、マイロン　ナトナバル氏と協力しコンセプトを創り上げました。
デゼルスキー氏は、去年あたりから共同購入ビジネスの発展を見守りつつ、独自のコンセプトを考え始めたとのこと。いたってシンプルに 遊び感覚で
ショッピングを楽しめるのでかなりアピールするのではとコメントしています。

去年アメリカで試験的に Angels & Airwavesというアーテｲストで実施した結果は良好だった。正式に運用できることになったので、当初何週間かは徹底的に試験し結果分析を重ね、しっかりしたサイトに定着させたい。 ２、３週間のうちにオファーをいくつか打ち出す予定とのこと。
又、音楽に特化した共同購入サイトなので、音楽関連商品取り扱い事業、レコード会社、さらに、個々のバンドやアーテｲスト、リテイラーとの提携など興味深い可能性が考えられるとのコメントも。更に、ソーシャルネットワークが拍車をかけて盛んになった共同購入なので、 Twitterやfacebookの既存のファングループ ともリンクしていきたいとのことです。
